What to Include
The more specific you can be, the faster we can act on it:
- Reporting an error? Tell us which page, which number looked wrong, and what you expected instead. Conversion and temperature figures are the ones we most want to get right, so these reports go to the top of the list.
- Requesting a tool? Describe the actual kitchen problem you're trying to solve, not just the tool name. Knowing the underlying question usually leads to a better tool than the one originally imagined.
- Reporting a bug? Let us know your browser and device, and what you clicked right before things went wrong.
Corrections and Accuracy
Our conversion values come from USDA food data and standard culinary references, and meat temperatures follow current USDA food-safety guidance. We review the tools and data at least once a year, and we update them sooner when a reader points out a genuine error or when official guidance changes. If you have a source that contradicts something on this site, please send it along — we'd rather be corrected than be wrong.
Response Time
This is a small independent site, not a company with a support desk, so replies typically take a few days. Corrections to published figures are usually made faster than that, even when the reply itself is slower.
A Note on Cooking Advice
We can't provide personalized cooking, nutrition, or food-safety advice for a specific situation — particularly anything involving whether a specific piece of food is still safe to eat. When in doubt about food safety, follow official guidance from your local food-safety authority or the USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service, and use a thermometer rather than an estimate.
