About CookingCalcs

CookingCalcs is a free collection of cooking calculators and kitchen tools built for everyday home cooks, bakers, and meal planners. Every tool on this site is designed to answer one question fast — no account required, no paywalls, no clutter.

Why We Built This

Cooking involves a surprising amount of math. How many grams is a cup of flour? What temperature is medium-rare? How much will this recipe cost per serving? These questions come up constantly, and the answers are either buried in a dense article or require pulling out a calculator.

CookingCalcs puts all of that in one place. Type in what you need, get your answer, get back to cooking.

What You'll Find Here

We cover four main areas:

  • Unit conversion — cups to grams, tablespoons to teaspoons, Fahrenheit to Celsius. We account for ingredient density, so a cup of flour gives you a different result than a cup of sugar.
  • Recipe scaling — multiply or divide any recipe by any factor. Great for cooking for a crowd or halving a recipe for two.
  • Cooking times and temperatures — safe internal temperatures for every cut of meat, and estimated cook times by weight and method.
  • Meal costs — figure out exactly what your meals cost per serving, so you can plan a grocery budget that actually works.

How We Keep the Tools Accurate

Conversion values are sourced from USDA food data and standard culinary references. Meat temperatures follow current USDA food safety guidelines. We review all tools and data at least once a year and update them when guidelines change.

That said, cooking is never a purely precise science. Times and temperatures are starting points — a meat thermometer and your own judgment always win.

Free, Always

Every tool on CookingCalcs is free to use. We don't require sign-ups or collect personal information. The site is supported by unobtrusive advertising, which lets us keep everything accessible without charging for it.
